A tree in a kink in the shore hangs over the water, along the narrow northern curve of Lough Corrib, near Oughterard.
I walked the first section of the western way, and as usual went off the path. Down at the shore of the lake I climbed into a little hidden inlet, where a tree (a birch I think) hangs overhead. Overhead, clouds rolled in and it began to rain on the lake.
